For your safety and protection, bathing is limited to beaches having lifeguards in attendance, and instructions of these lifeguards must be obeyed. PROTECTED BATHING BEACHES GUARDS ARE LOCATED AT RAFT AND BODY BOARD BEACHES: THEY ARE ALSO LOCATED AT THE FOLLOWING BEACHES WHERE RAFTS AND
BODY BOARDS ARE NOT PERMITTED: SURFBOARDS (with leashes attached) ARE PERMITTED AT: KAYAKS ARE PERMITTED AT: STONE HARBOR BEACH FEESTo meet the increasing cost of beach maintenance and protection, fees have been established for use of the beach. Prior to Memorial Day, tags may be purchased at Borough Hall or through the mail by sending check or money order, payable to: Borough of Stone Harbor Badges will be reserved and held in your name to be picked up at your convenience. FEE SCHEDULE (per person 12 years of age and over) Beach tags must be displayed, but are necessary only during the hours that the beach is open. Tags are required May 28th through September 6th Daily Beach Hours 10 AM to 5 PM
“We hope you enjoy our beautiful beaches!” CAPE MAY COUNTY PARK AND ZOOA trip to the zoo is always a treat for the whole family and the Cape May County Zoo is no exception! There are over 150 species of animals, many endangered, all handsomely displayed in the most modern, impeccably kept facilities available. Some of the most popular exhibits include: ring-tailed lemurs, golden-lion tamarins, the cougar family, playful black bears (wait until you see them in their pool!), the aldabra tortoises and Charlie the Camel (he loves an audience!). The Reptile House is also a favorite with visitor housing gila monsters, turtles, alligators and a variety of other reptiles and fish. One of the newest and most enjoyable parts of a zoo tour is the expansive African Savannah. As you follow the bridged trail through the dense vegetation, you will catch sight of wild cats, bison, zebras, emus, ostrich, giraffes and a variety of other wildlife. The Park also has a pond for fishing, as well as playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts, hiking trails, picnic facilities (by reservation only) Wonderful opportunities for fun! The Cape may County Park and Zoo is open year round to visitors and is a FREE recreational facility. Donations are gratefully accepted. The Park is accredited by the American Association of Zoological Parks and Aquariums and was recently honored for it’s participation in the “Wetlands of International Importance” Program. is recognized nationwide for its research and its special programs. It
offers enjoyable, educational guided tours. For something more nautical, you might visit HEREFORD INLET
LIGHTHOUSE in North COLD SPRING VILLAGE, a recreated farm community of the late 1800’s stretches over 22 beautiful acres in Lower Township.
